It could be a doctor's appointment or family situation. The Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation (LMFRF) was founded in 2002 for the sole purpose of enhancement and improvement of the trout fisheries of the lower Mountain Fork River. The ODWC presents the LMFRF with a list of projects for which it needs additional funding. The Foundation directors and membership consider each project and vote on its merits. The LMFRF has funded trout habitat projects and rearing stations for both brown and rainbow trout for release in the LMFR trophy water. But the main focus of the LMFRF has been to get cold water from the Broken Bow Reservoir into the river.
